Although we all have the same basic wish to be happy all the time, very few people understand the real causes of happiness. We tend to think external conditions such as food, friends, mobile phones and money are real causes of happiness. However there are many people who have everything but still lack happiness. In reality happiness is a feeling; its source is inner peace. When our mind is peaceful, we are naturally happy. By learning how to make our mind peaceful in meditation eventually we will experience unchanging inner peace day and night. This is the real meaning of our human life.

Kadam Mick Marcon is the Resident Teacher at Losang Dragpa Kadampa Buddhist Centre and has been practising meditation and Buddhism since 2004. With his clear understanding of Buddha’s teachings and down-to-earth manner, Kadam Mick inspires us to develop a pure and happy mind.

Patrick Manning started meditation & Buddhism classes in 2009, and has a deep appreciation for Buddha’s teachings. He is a dedicated student on our Foundation Program and teaches with sincerity and humility.
