Our courses offer practical solutions to the everyday problems of modern living and are suitable for everyone!

Each course consists of guided meditations and teachings based on the chosen topic. There is also an opportunity for  Q & A and discussion.

Light refreshments are provided at our events and booking is essential.

Stop Worrying, Start Living half-day course

Worry is a common problem affecting most people. It usually develops over things we have little or no control over. Worry never solves problems; it only makes matters worse by obstructing our ability to think clearly when faced with a challenging situation.
On this half-day course learn how to overcome the habit of worrying by developing a more realistic approach to life’s problems, thereby enabling us to respond to difficulties in a more positive way.

The Teacher

Kadam Mick Marcon is the Resident Teacher at Losang Dragpa Kadampa Buddhist Centre in Newcastle and has been practising meditation and Buddhism since 2004. With his clear understanding of Buddha’s teachings and down-to-earth manner, he inspires us to develop a pure mind, thereby uncovering for ourself a deep contentment and happiness. Mick teaches weekly drop-in classes, our courses and retreats, as well as the Foundation Program.
