The Foundation Program (FP) is a structured study course, comprising six texts that form the basis of the New Kadampa Tradition (NKT) of Buddhism. These texts are written by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.
This program is ideal for those who already attend drop-in classes and would like to deepen their knowledge and experience of Dharma (Buddhist teachings).
FP classes consist of teachings, guided meditations and discussions that are aimed at improving the student’s practical application of Kadampa Buddhist teachings in their daily life.
Each week, Resident Teacher Kadam Mick Marcon of Losang Dragpa Kadampa Buddhist Centre (Newcastle), will give a practical commentary to the book ‘How to Understand the Mind’ by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.
The Foundation Program (FP) is a committed study program therefore please contact us if you are interested in attending. Your interest in this program can be emailed to: fp_coordinator@meditateinnewcastle.org OR phone (02) 4023 0215.
